Reason for some G-shock watches so expensive

Casio has been expanding its market with more expensive timepieces, several of which are considered luxury models. Several factors may contribute to the higher prices of high-end G-Shock watches: use of premium materials like sapphire crystal, inclusion of advanced technology like GPS signal timekeeping, more complex designs with analog subdials and shock/g-force/vibration resistance for analog movements, more advanced and labor-intensive manufacturing processes, production in Japan, and smaller production runs at Yamagata Casio’s Premium Production Line.
